Motivational Posters

Lincoln Into Art Gallery has produced six educational posters, each featuring one of her portraits of Abraham Lincoln and a motivational Lincoln quote chosen specifically for its positive message and relevance to today’s young learners. As our most celebrated president, Abraham Lincoln will forever be a positive influence on shaping the character of America and its citizens.

Goals include engaging the students with a historical subject in a visual way that links the past to the present; motivational advice; developing literacy; and encouraging an appreciation for the arts.

Allen’s Lincoln posters are applicable to the Literacy in History/Social Studies in the C3 Framework and adheres to the Social Studies Curriculum guidelines. They are appropriate for teaching cross-curricular lessons in history, civics, art, and language arts.  They correlate to every goal stated by the NCSS: to teach democratic principles and to promote diversity, inclusiveness, global interconnectedness, intellectual excellence, civil discourse, pursuit of knowledge, compassion, and altruism.
